Sodium Borate.

Known as Borax. It is made from a natural mineral found in the Mojave Desert or in China. It is best known as a laundry booster but can be used for many things… a deodorizer, bug repellent, disinfectant and cleaner. It has antiseptic, anti-fungal and antiviral properties.

Ingesting borax in large amounts can cause side effects including abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, headache, convulsions, vomiting and weakness. Other symptoms may also include blisters, fever, low blood pressure and twitching of the facial muscles, arms, hands, legs and feet.
