Oregano is a hardy, bushy, perennial plant that grows up to 3 feet high. It has white or purple flowery stalks and dark green, hairy leaves. The plants originate in Europe and Asia. Today it is growth all over the world however the oil is produced mainly in Russia, Bulgaria and Italy.
