Fragrances.

Fragrance is in almost every product on the market. It is found in cosmetics, hair care products (shampoos, conditioners, styling products), personal hygiene products (toothpaste, mouthwash, dental floss, feminine products, soaps, antibacterial sanitizers), household products (cleaners, air fresheners, fabric softeners) and almost anything else you can think of. Most people will purchase an item based on the fragrance alone.

But did you know?... At least 90% of the chemicals in synthetic fragrance comes from petrochemicals (chemicals derived from petroleum and natural gas). The chemicals in the fragrances alone can cause you or someone nearby to have symptoms ranging from headache, shortness of breath, dizziness to shock, migraines, or an allergy/asthma attack. Overexposure may be the cause of a chronic health condition known as MCS (multiple chemical sensitivity or chemical intolerance).

According to EU's Scientific Committee on Cosmetic and Non-Food Products, one in every fifty people may suffer from immune system damage from fragrance.
